LOUP CREEK PROPERTY

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

PROPERTY SIZE

1385 Hectares, 2 Titles

PROPERTY LOCATION

The Loup Creek property is located 30km from Lake Cowichan and is accessible through the Gordon River Main Logging Road. Alternative access can be gained through Nixon Creek Main and a series of new logging roads.

MAIN MINERAL OCCURRENCES

There are four Minfile showings on the property, these include the TL5798, Dore 30, Hemmingsen West and Hemmingsen East.

The TL5798 showing is located on a west flowing un-named tributary of the Gordon River, east of the northern head waters of Hemmingsen Creek. Locally disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite occur.

The Dore 30 showing is located on Hemmingsen Creek, approximately 4 kilometres west of the summit of Mount Bolduc. Molybdenite, chalcopyrite and sulphides are disseminated in a shear zone in quartz monzonite.

The Hemmingson West showing is located on a ridge over looking Hemmingsen Creek, at approximately 900 metres elevation. Locally, an area of skarn or ‘iron formation’ hosts sulphide mineralization. Sulphides are described as primarily magnetite, pyrite and chalcopyrite. Hematite and serpentine are also reported in the area.

The Hemmingsen East showing is located in the northern head waters of Hemmingsen Creek, at an elevation of greater than 1000 metres. Locally, altered limestone hosts sulphide mineralization. Sulphides are described as primarily magnetite, pyrite and chalcopyrite.

The Loup Creek Property has had little historical work, other than a small sampling program in 2008 undertaken by Le baron Prospecting. In 2020, on a ridge above Loup Creek disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite was found. In a second location 600m away a quarry 20m wide contains semi-massive and massive chalcopyrite. On Mount Bolduc a 50m wide zone was found containing disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. Mineralization can also be found in many of the rock fractures in this zone. Various additional new zones recently found within the claim boundaries will need further exploring.

Kermode Resources has commissioned 911 Exploration Corp to complete a program of detailed prospecting, creek sediment and moss matt sampling, rock and geochemical sampling. Additional work will include shallow drilling with a backpack drill.
